As a young person, Cameron received his first transmission in yogic breathing from his grandmother, and spent Saturday mornings practicing asana with his mother in group classes.
In Madison, WI, Cameron was initiated in mantra through the Ananda Marga lineage, additionally practicing kirtan, bhakti and tantric yoga. His sadhana deepened in Tennessee where he received a 200hr training and RYT certification through Yoga Mat (now Sanctuary on Main) in 2018. In that time he also received direct instruction and transmission of the 24 form Yang style taichi from Stuart Bonnington. Cameron has taught in a variety of settings including community centers, gyms, high schools, virtual sessions and in an addiction recovery center. Asana, pranayama, and dharana practices underpin his foundational yoga classes . As a teacher he affirms autonomy, yet invites students to their “edge” with spaciousness and attention. Students in his class learn to stabilize in their center and release attachment to fixed positions. His dharma calling is to abide in the Self, recognize the Self in others, and transmit moksha shastra.
