Carol Krucoff, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, is a yoga instructor at Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, where she creates individualized yoga practices for people with health challenges.
An award-winning journalist, she was founding editor of The Washington Post's Health Section and a contributing editor atYoga Journal. Carol is the author of several books including "Yoga Sparks: 108 Easy Practices for Stress Relief in a Minute or Less” and is co-author of "Relax into Yoga for Seniors," and "Relax into Yoga for Chronic Pain." Carol is co-director of the Integrative Yoga for Seniors Professional Trainings," which are designed to help yoga instructors safely and effectively adapt the practice to older bodies, minds and hearts. She has co-authored numerous articles in medical journals and consulted on several research studies into therapeutic applications of yoga. She also spent a decade studying martial arts, and as a second-degree black belt in karate and Sensei, she taught martial arts for four years. Carol has practiced yoga for more than 50 years and is grateful to have studied with master teachers from around the world.
