I teach yoga in order to make this world just a tiny bit better each day.
I write about yoga on my blog at http://yogamakesyouwell.com and also other places on the web. I like yoga because it can really enhance life on a lot of levels. My belief is that yoga helps people align physically and also spiritually. It is a system of learning to move with intention and awareness in the world. Practicing yoga and learning about it is an ancient way of cultivating good health and a clear mind. Yoga helps athletes become less prone to injury. It helps people with addictions bring those into consciousness. It helps people who run a marathon through life slow down and learn to notice the world around them a little more and start to be a part of their world. Anyone can do yoga. The starting point will be different for every person and so will the completion of a pose. I read an author who said beautifully about yoga, "there is no perfect pose, only a healthy pose."
