I began practicing yoga in 1987 as a young professional and had never felt so peaceful in my life as I did in savasana!! I kept coming back for more....Two wonderful daughters partially launched, I began my teacher training in 2010, and teaching the same year at Denison University Open House and the local YMCA.
I'm an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT-200) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS). I'm also a registered nurse with a bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University. I also have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and six years of counseling experience. In 2020, I completed training through YogaUOnline as a 125-hour Certified Yoga Wellness Educator. I'm is also certified through Silver Sneakers and have current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid. From 2010 to the present, I have had the privilege to teach yoga at several local studios, gyms, bed and breakfasts, and community settings. In 2018, I launched my business: Enchanted Elephant Yoga. I offer private and semi-private personalized sessions with instruction in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. My clients include those dealing with physical or emotional issues that make it preferable to learn in a private setting. I tailor each session to the individual's specific health conditions and goals. I also offers mini shoulder and temple massages with doTerra oils to clients. My goals are to continue with my training hours and also to expand my teaching to local inns in the beautiful Hocking Hills of Ohio and faraway resorts! Stay tuned!!
