Carolyn Jyoti Burke, MSW, E-RYT 500+, RCYT, is an experienced yoga teacher trainer, retreat facilitator, and strengths-based psychotherapist.
As DevaTree School of Yoga’s co-founder, Carolyn artfully guides students in the CrossDisciplinary™ yoga method. She is co-creator and co-director of the 100-hr HeartRise® Children’s Yoga Teacher Training professional program. Carolyn is on Faculty at the Toronto Yoga Show & Conference. Carolyn began her yoga studies at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, taught in their 500-hr program for five years, and is considered Faculty Emeritus. As a consultant for government counselling programs, Carolyn has designed and led numerous wellness programs and groups for children and families. Her own children have inspired her work greatly as they share her enthusiasm for yoga and nurturing the sacred in everyday life. Carolyn trusts in the transformative power of community and has developed and successfully launched wellness programs for people of all ages and backgrounds. It is a rare teacher that can encourage students into the depths of self-love and acceptance the way Carolyn can.
