About
Casey was trained under Kimberly Payne at Gathering Tree Yoga for her 200 hour; and under Ylonda Rosenthal Greene, Lanie McManus, Debi Darnell, and Lynelle Kristine via Awake To My Soul's 300 hour training.
She received certification through YogaEd as a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher with an emphasis on teaching children and teens from a trauma-informed perspective. Each training had a heavy focus in accessibility and inclusivity. Casey has been a student of yoga since the mid-‘90s, always seeking authenticity in teachers, and healing in the practice. Casey’s favorite pastimes besides yoga are spending time with her family, hiking in the woods, visiting national parks, gardening, and walks with her dog. Her favorite part of teaching is witnessing the change that takes place throughout one’s practice, and also cultivating intentional playlists that will help accentuate the practice. Casey believes strongly in the abilities of music and sound to enhance a yoga practice's effect on the mind and energy. She uses a balance of sound and silence so everyone has the space to delve in and do their work! Her goal in life is to better the world by helping others find peace, one little bit at a time. Casey founded the nonprofit, Seed Yoga, which had a three year long run, but ultimately dissolved in 2025 due to the difficulties in finding funding for outreach work. She continues to try to serve in the best way possible, and currently does that by teaching through a nonprofit studio, Cultivate Yoga. She also teaches at Avon Lake Yoga, and has worked to increase accessibility there as well. Casey’s vinyasa classes have evolved overtime to a Mandala flow in a circular pattern around the mat, shifting perspectives, and always striving to settle the busy mind.
