Katie fell in love with yoga about twenty years ago — mindful yoga has been a constant that keeps her physically and mentally grounded, strong, and flexible.

It has eased her back pain and taught her the body knowledge needed to continue to stay out of pain. She found that after adding meditation to her practice about five years ago, her ability to remain centered and maintain a positive attitude has improved. Katie is influenced by many of her past and present instructors but holds a special place for the Yoga Exchange family, and completed their Exchange Compassion Yoga Lifestyle and Teacher Training course (RYT 200 hour certified). Katie hopes to make her yoga classes fun and accessible for all, despite any kind of hesitation, limitation, or injury. In addition to practicing yoga, Katie works for her family’s 125-year-old company but prefers spending time with her husband and three children. She loves listening to music, spending time near the ocean, cooking, and volunteering at schools with her dog, Lila (they are a volunteer therapy team).
