About
Yoga came into my life in full force in 2006.
My now husband and I had returned from living abroad and I was in a new town where I knew no one so I found a gym where I started a running routine and decided to try out the free yoga classes they offered in an attempt to meet people. After my first yoga class I knew that I was going to have a lifelong love/challenging relationship with the practice. I loved the way it made me feel, look and that my gymnastics background could once again be tapped into but I didn't know how I felt about the internal challenge. Being a competitive person by nature I wanted to make it about being the best in the room, I found after time though that I was the only one doing this and I felt like I was stealing other's experience. It was at that point that I realized that yoga is much more than a physical practice, it is a practice in personal growth that, if you give yourself permission, can shift your entire perspective and help release the idea that you have to be what the world expects. In 2011 I achieved my 200 hour certification from PranaYoga School of Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana. From 2011 - 2013 I taught basics, vinyasa and all levels classes at two prominent studios in Fort Wayne. In 2013 I began teaching at a Baptiste inspired studio in Fort Wayne, Indiana focusing on Power Yoga, Inversion and Arm Balance Workshops and a variety of fitness classes. In 2014 I decided to move into working more one on one with students, this allowed me to marry my roots and the branches I had expanded into over the years. In 2015 I completed the Advanced Empowerment Yoga Teacher Training at the Yoga Joint in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Over the years I have had the privilege of taking Master Classes and/or Workshops from amazing teachers/mentors such as Simon Park, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Kelly Green, Paige Held and Jennifer Jarrett. I believe that my growth comes from being a student first, teacher second - - xo, Cel
