About
Cheri Farris is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
After practicing yoga off and on for a decade, she entered the Southern Institute for Yoga Instructors teacher training in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004 with the hopes of learning yoga inside and out, never really thinking she'd actually teach. But, as fate would have it Cheri found herself in a new place where she was the only certified yoga teacher around, and every community needs yoga, so began her yoga teaching career. She is a community health educator (CHES) and national board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC) in a rural community when she's not teaching yoga. Her passion is promoting health and wellness with a focus on preventing chronic illness. Cheri believes that yoga is an important part of living a healthy lifestyle, and a perfect way to restore balance to mind and body for any lifestyle. Cheri teaches alignment oriented yoga, flow yoga, restorative yoga, and children's yoga with compassion, a playful, energetic spirit and a touch of inspiration. Her community classes are modified to the needs of students of varying levels. She is also available for private yoga sessions.
