My personal practice began in as a way to find relaxation on days off from long hours of shift work in the hospital The knowledge of anatomy & physiology from a career as an RN plus a long standing interest in beneficial movement of the body eventually led me to pursue a teacher training  In April I received a hour certification from Aum hOMe Shala focusing on the benefits of yoga as applied to individuals and groups including those with Parkinsons cancer mental health isues and chronic pain I earned my initial teacher training certificate after a year long study at The Lotus Pond a Kripalu-affiliated studio in Tampa FL in   The connection between nursing and yoga is natural as both stand on viewing and respecting the person as a whole being not just a physical body  I strive to craft classes that focus on mindful movement in which students are able to find a complementary benefit in the combined practice of postures and breath.
