Christine has practiced, studied, and teaches Hatha, Kundalini, and Iyengar yoga.
She began her yogic studies in Hatha Yoga and was one of the first teachers in the United States to be trained and certified in Kundalini Yoga, Christine has taught over 20,000+ hours of Kundalini yoga In addition to her teaching hours acquired after completing further yoga certifications. Christine's love of yoga inspired her to continue her yoga studies into Iyengar Yoga, and she completed the Advanced Teacher Training Course with The Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco. Christine has studied with BKS Iyengar and his daughter Geeta Iyengar at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune India on multiple Yatras. Additionally Christine received The Yoga Wall certification at the Ventura Yoga Studio, and Christine is also a certified Flower Essence Therapist and Homeopath. Christine studied Homeopathy and Flower Essence Therapy at The American University of Complimentary Medicine and The Homeopathic Academy of Southern California as well as the Homeopathic Sensation Method with Rajan Shankaran of India. Christine is a member of Shotokan Karate and was trained by and awarded Shodan Black Belt Level by Sensei Tutsumo Oshima, the founder of SKA - Shotokan Karate Association of America. Sensei Oshima brought Shotokan Karate to The United States from Japan and was a direct student of Master Gichin Funakoshi who introduced Karate from Okinawa to the Japanese mainland, and is known as the father of modern karate. Christine is the Founder of Yoga Petals® and continues her love of teaching and sharing yoga and complimentary medicine for serenity, joy, and love.
