About
Clarissa's path to Yoga started with an injury, peroneal tendonitis! An avid runner who had 5 Half Marathons under her belt and started training for a Full Marathon.
We all know that the body keeps the score and Clarissa's was no different. Years of over training with no down time had reached an apex 4 weeks before the Marathon. Mentally and physically spent, the body demanded a change. In the months that followed, the body began to recoup and the mindset started to evolve. She joined a local Yoga studio to help "rehab" the running injury and fell in love with all that Yoga encompasses. The 8 Limbs!!! In October of 2019 Clarissa completed the RYT200 through Essence of Yoga in Maumee OH. This Registered Yoga School helped deepen her practice. The schools focus on proper instruction for safety and effectiveness has set the standard she employs in teaching the physical Asanas. Pranayama and Meditation techinques are included in her teaching. All combine to help students find relaxation, calm & peace. Clarissa's goal as a teacher is to create a safe nurturing environment that shares the full scope of Yoga, so that souls are encouraged to travel through the self to FIND the self.
