Claudia Castro is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 500 with Yoga Alliance, she received her first teaching certification at Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX, then her next one at Center for Yoga in Michigan with Jonny Kest and her 300 hours in India with Jivamukti teachers Jules Febre, Sharon Gannon and David Life.
With her husband, she owns and directs yoga and yoga teacher trainings at their studio, Del Sol Yoga & Kung Fu. She is the lead trainer in their 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher training. Claudia and her husband lead yoga and seva (service) retreats to Nicaragua, her home country every year to connect with orphanages and an elderly community. Over the past two years, she has been training in kirtan, chanting and mantra directly with Jai Uttal. Many of her classes will be infused with a threading of intense asana vinyasa based classes, definintely some song and rhythm, and storytelling that helps encapsulate the understanding and depth of the yoga teachings. Claudia has experienced yoga as an understanding of this..."We train the mind so that it can become the greatest devotee of the heart, and the heart will never lead you astray..."
