Colby discovered yoga in her early 20s and credits yoga for being a means to strength and stability ever since.
With a childhood background in dance, she performed for Australian Rules Football, Carnival Cruise Lines, Iberostar Mexico and US professional football (NFL) and basketball (NBA) games before attending the University of Texas as a member of the UT Pom Squad. Living in the UK after college, got hooked on running, and completed the London and New York Marathons. Originally a Hatha instructor, Colby went on to study the Rocket series of Astanga. Her teaching influences include Sadani Janey Houtz, David Kyle, Duncan Wong, Jamie Clarke, Dulce Aguilar, Lizaan Joubert, and Anton Mackey. After a decade of experience as a certified Group Fitness Instructor, she helped launch Slice Studios in London, England, and led a variety of classes - including Zumba, Barre, 80s Aerobics, Trampolines, Prenatal Cardio, Yoga, Childrens' Classes. She also worked as a brand ambassador for Noya Yoga, Sweaty Betty, Manuka Life Yoga and Tory Burch Sport. Colby has led a number of retreats with wellness specialist Tanya Alekseeva Maher and Ecce Navigo in Turkey. Colby enjoys helping people breakthrough mental, physical and emotional barriers and hopes to continue teaching and practicing for a lifetime.
