About
I attempt to organize around values of consent and accessibility in yoga teaching.
With that foundation and my continued interest of the intersect of yoga and psychology, students can expect a trauma-informed teaching environment and focuses at times that invite exploration around mental health. Since my initial 200-hr training in 1999, I have completed certification with Accessible Yoga, have successfully completed Optimal State Yoga Therapy's 865-hr yoga therapy training program and am a certified yoga therapist registered with IAYT. I have led groups, classes and trainings on yoga for depression, anxiety, trauma recovery both in person and online. I am also a LMFT (CA-109436) and specialize in helping adolescents and adults through anxiety, depression, developmental trauma recovery and post traumatic growth. Mindfulness-based approaches inform the roles I hold - in additonal to my yoga certifications have completed trainings in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T), Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
