About Shiva Cor Academy Shiva Cor Academy is a heart-led healing space founded by Coral-Lei Jane a proud Métis woman kinesiologist and trauma-informed yoga teacher Rooted in ancestral wisdom movement science and lived experience Coral-Leis mission is to create spaces where all bodies regardless of background pain or ability feel safe seen and supported A Journey of Resilience After graduating from UBC in with a degree in Human Kinetics Coral-Lei has worked as a registered kinesiologist since supporting individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents with long-standing partnerships through ICBC Her personal path deepened after surviving a traumatic brain injury TBI in which required her to relearn how to walk and speak Today she lives with an invisible disability and speaks openly about how it continues to shape her teaching compassion and perspective “Im here to say: its okay to move differently Its okay to rest Its okay to begin again again and again Healing is not linear and it doesnt have to be perfect to be powerful” Cultural Roots & Teaching As a Métis woman Coral-Lei weaves traditional teachings intuition and reverence for the land into every offering Her teachings are relational rooted in Métis values of connection reciprocity and respect for the spirit within all things She is the founder of Yindalini Yoga a trauma-informed blend of Yin Yoga Kundalini-inspired movement myofascial release and breathwork offering support for both the physical body and emotional nervous system The Practice At Shiva Cor Academy Coral-Lei offers a blend of Yindalini Yoga a gentle somatic fusion of Yin and Kundalini Trigger Point Myofascial Release™ and functional movement grounded in kinesiology These practices focus on: Self-applied trigger point therapy Long-held yin postures with breathwork Nervous system regulation Sustainable pain relief Rebuilding strength and connection in the body Weekly Classes & Community Coral-Lei teaches - evening yoga classes per week in-person at her White Rock studio with virtual options available One evening class is thoughtfully aligned with the moon cycles inviting students to slow down and reconnect She also offers monthly -minute Special Labs and accessible workshops designed to meet both beginners and advanced practitioners with deep self-care tools A community highlight is her ongoing collaboration with renowned sound healers Matthew Kocel and Theda Phoenix who regularly return to fill the space with their immersive restorative sound baths Seasonal & Special Events This August Shiva Cor Academy is offering two powerful weekend events: August - : A therapeutic hands-on weekend with Pearl Kocel RMT focusing on myofascial release body awareness and structural rebalancing Ideal for RMTs bodyworkers and anyone interested in nervous system-informed movement August : An immersive Gene Keys Workshop with mystic and teacher Peter Tongue designed for beginners and long-time explorers alike This event includes private sessions on August for deeper one-on-one integration Whats Coming Also launching this fall is a -week Strength & Conditioning Series beginning Monday September focused on releasing myofascial pain while building functional strength This series is ideal for those wanting to feel stronger softer and more in tune with their bodys needs Mission “My goal is to empower others to feel happy and pain-free The key is always movement and that movement must be rooted in care” “I move with my disability not against it I teach from lived experience and walk with the strength of my Métis lineage This path continues to humble me and Im here to walk it beside you” — Coral-Lei Jane Founder of Shiva Cor Academy.
