Courtney Guenther is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Courtney earned her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010 and taught Anatomy and Physiology to college students in South Carolina for eleven years. Her academic research interests include examining how yoga, mindfulness, and meditation can help college students cope with stress, and she has published peer-reviewed articles with students and faculty colleagues on this topic. Courtney has been teaching yoga to college students and community members for the past four years. She completed an online 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course in 2021 and attended the Accessible Yoga Conference and two summits through the Mind and Life Institute and Healthy Minds Innovations. Her yoga and mindfulness teaching focuses on helping learners thrive through inclusive practices that offer opportunities to connect mind and body.
