
Cynthia Neilson is a CIYT E-RYT hrs and YACEP with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School RYS Cynthia Santosha enjoys teaching and sharing the Iyengar lineage paramparā which she has gleaned from the Iyengar Family and Senior Iyengar Yoga instructors Birjoo Mehta Neeta Data Patricia Walden Manouso Manos and many other talented senior Iyengar yoga teachers Her teaching style is a mixture of enthusiasm humor and hard work She works with individuals at their level and helps each person to cultivate mindfulness in each asana posture and emphasizes attention to muscular-skeletal alignment with the integration of proper breathing She began teaching Yoga in Hawaii in and later Europe Utah and California After many years of study and practice she received her Iyengar yoga certification and taught at the Iyengar center in Encinitas for years under the direction of Carolyn Belko and also helped in the alignment specialty yoga and prenatal programs for many years Cynthia recently attended the Iyengar convention in Boca Raton where Abhijata Sridhar Iyengar shared her knowledge of her Grandfather She studied art and the human form most of her life plus several modalities including massage which add to her knowledge as an experienced Yoga Instructor Cynthia encourages yoga practice and class attendance so that one may directly experience and explore the integration of mind body consciousness and inner self thereby discovering the abundant joy balance and alignment in ones life.
