About
Yoga has helped me unlock truths about myself.
It has taught me to accept myself just as I am one moment at a time. When I come to my yoga mat, it is a new journey to learn more about myself and to release stagnant or blocked energy. The breath is what carries me through on and off the mat. Currently, I teach yin yoga and vinyasa power flow and slow flow classes. I am the co-founder of Listening to Smile Frequency Minded Music and Meditations. I hold classes incorporating Listening to Smile's frequency music integrated within yoga and meditation classes (Sonic Meditations). I center my classes on the breath and encourage getting out of our minds and into our bodies, allowing the breath to carry you through. Credentials: I began to study Viniyoga, one on one, from my first yoga instructor, Terri Turczany in 2001. Then, in 2014 I completed my 200 hour Hatha yoga training and obtained my certification from the Sangha Center for Yoga and Wellness under the direction of Andrea Davis Kirkham. In 2015 I completed a yoga assisting workshop at Salt Power Yoga, and in 2017 completed a 200Hr Power Flow training and obtained my certification from Salt Power Yoga, under the direction of Wendy Foster Elliot and Rachel Bekelja. I also have attended a workshop in 2018 lead by Joni Sturgill on Yoga for Cancer Patients. In 2017, I have began studying under Ian Morris and Listening to Smile focusing on sound healing and frequency minded music and the benefits to the body, mind, and spirit.
