With incredible clarity, and honed communication skills, Dana has the unique ability to reach everyone – regardless of experience. No-one leaves without gaining some fresh insight, inspired to grow further. Her classes are known for being insightful and challenging, integrating breath with movement and understanding. Reaching deep inside the core of yoga both physically and energetically. Background This unique ability to connect with her students is drawn from a blend of rich life experiences and a life devoted to self-study and awareness. An outstanding communicator, Dana Paré’s skills come from a background in the performing arts and 10 years in the fitness industry, living and teaching in Asia and Europe. She speaks Japanese and is inspired by Japan’s attention to detail – which is reflected in her classes, workshops and trainings. Along with teaching dynamic and inspiring Ashtanga Yoga classes for 20 years, Dana Paré’s has also created a comprehensive training program for yoga teachers (more about Teacher Training). She teaches at Infinite Yoga, her own studio in San Diego, intensive workshops for teachers and students nationwide; presents at yoga and fitness conferences; holds charity events; and has her own specialty yoga weeks at such renowned spas as The Golden Door, Rancho la Puerta and The Oaks. Dana has created, produced and directed a series of CD’s & DVDs for home study, where she has been involved in every aspect of the project from concept to post production. Her recent projects include audio files for learning Sanskrit chants and practicing yoga On the Road available on iTunes, Amazon & CD Baby. Teachers In addition to the lessons life and her personal practice has taught her, Dana Paré honors the teachers that have most influenced and inspired her own personal teaching style: Sri K Pattabhi Jois, who revived the Ashtanga Vinyasa system for the modern world, and his grandson R Sharath. She has studied with both in India and the US; Tim Miller (Ashtanga), Roger Cole (Iyengar), TKV Desikachar (KYM Yoga) and her mentor and friend Ana Forrest (Forrest Yoga). Dana participated in Ana’s first teacher training and has completed Iyengar teacher training with Roger Cole and Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training with Tim Miller. She was on Tim Miller’s teaching staff before opening her own studio. Dana Paré is a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance at their highest level – E-RYT 500.
