Daniel Duarte is a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT who completed Yoga Teacher trainings YTT with Yoga Bharati in San Jose CA and Breathe for Change in San Francisco CA He completed his M Div in Yoga Studies through the Meru Institute in San Jose CA and lived for years in a seva selfless service residential program at the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment CSE a Kriya Meditation Center in San Jose It was here that he met his spiritual teacher Yogacharya OBrian Umaji who he has studied with since During his time at CSE he taught hatha yoga served in the Youth Spiritual Education YSE program teaching yoga and spiritual living principles to teens He led yoga and story telling for the youth yoga summer camp supported the Mens group led morning meditation/rituals and taught learn to meditate classes  While working in the school district Daniel completed a YTT for teaching yoga mindfulness and SEL in schools through Breathe for Change He led short yoga sessions for staff and created/led an after school boys group called Peaceful Warriors Together the boys practiced yoga mindfulness and read stories about positive male role models with other male figures on campus  Daniel was a resident yoga instructor at Treebones Resort in Big Sur as and offered workshops at other studios along the CA Central Coast His style of teaching emphasizes a meditative approach to postures spinal alignment connection to the breath and deepening concentration His current teaching passions are hatha yoga for deepening spiritual practice and workshops on meditation the eight limbs of yoga and basic kriya yoga philosophy  Currently he works full time for the Niroga Institute as Programs & Partnerships Manager teaching and leading Yoga and Dynamic Mindfulness programs throughout the Bay Area He continues to teach Meditation and Hatha Yoga for retreats locally and for Recovery groups.
