I am a mind-body educator.
with over 30 years of experience. I am the creator the Multidisciplinary Yoga Teacher Trainings. I work with all persons, all ages + stages of life, and will always accept & respect any condition or malady. I believe there is no ‘right’ way to do yoga, that there are numerous ways and the best way is for you to find your own way. Most of my education, in the arts of yoga & meditation, comes from direct experience with monastics. Center (WRNMMC) – adaptive yoga, relaxation & meditation to US combat veterans and active military. The Defense and Veteran’s Center for Integrative Pain Management (DVCIPM) – one-on-one yoga sessions with patients. The Howard University Cancer Center/Hospital – restorative yoga & relaxation pilot study for individuals recovering from cancer. The National Intrepid Center of Excellence – yoga & relaxation for US veterans with PTSD. Warrior Camp – sitting meditation & multidisciplinary yoga, EMDR and EAGALA for combat veterans with PTSD Friendship Place /La Casa – sitting meditation, qi gong and yoga for recovering homeless persons who live in permanent supportive housing. Yoga on the Rocks – annual hike with meditation & yoga atop the Ol’ Ragged Mount of Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, USA In my past life, as an artist-educator, I presented interactive & multicultural performances with audiences of children at: the Barns of Wolf Trap, the Imagination Stage at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Discovery Theater in the Smithsonian Institution.
