About

My goal as a yoga teacher is to help you slow down—way down.

I often joke that I teach “Slowga,” a.k.a. slow yoga. I’ve always gravitated towards the more gentle styles of yoga: “Slow Flow” as many studios call it, Yin Yoga where you hold poses for upwards of 8 minutes, and of course, the queen of them all, Restorative Yoga, where in a 60-minute class, you’ll probably only do 3 poses…total. While there’s a time and a place for fast-paced, high-energy yoga classes, I feel like more often than not, what people really need is to slow down. Rest—actual rest, is almost entirely missing from our lives and yoga can be a beautiful opportunity to relax, be still, and reconnect with yourself. My style of teaching is slow and mindful, incorporating asana, pranayama, and meditation along with bits of yogic philosophy. I look to help my students cultivate a sattvic (pure, balanced, and joyous) energy, leading them towards the beauty of stillness, the power of presence, and the value of connection to the teacher within. I am currently available to teach private, group, or corporate yoga classes in-person on Cape Cod or virtually via Zoom.
