About

Dawn Adams (RYT-500), a 2009 graduate of the Yoga Room Advanced Studies program, found Jill Miller and Yoga Tune Up® in 2011, when she was researching movement and self-care solutions for low back pain -- an issue that many of her students complained of.

After acquiring her first pair of Roll Model balls and working with some of the YTU video resources, she dove head Yoga Tune Up® and became a certified YTU teacher, studying first with Jill Miller and then with Gil Hedley to get hands-on experience of Integral Anatomy. She finds the interplay between self-massage and functional movement to be key in maintaining the body and improving range of motion, ease of movement, and ultimately performance. By integrating self-care and conscious, corrective movement with her knowledge of yoga, she continues to develop her knowledge of the human body and share that knowledge with her students within the framework of undoing being as important as doing. In her teaching, she hopes to instill a sense of adventure and exploration, with a focus on finding balance and joy through practice.
