I began my yoga journey at age following my retirement as a public school English teacher The pandemic of forced my retirement I had knee and back issues and I was miserable A friend invited me to yoga as soon as the studio Blue Yoga Nyla reopened in-person classes and I found a lovely community of purpose and passion that got me "out of the ditch" emotionally and physically I completed my -hour training at Blue Yoga Nyla and am so happy to be a yoga instructor I also teach at Blue Yoga Nyla which serves a wide range of individuals in our community One-third of our classes are donation-based and we practice Seva through several significant projects every year I have spent many hours assisting and teaching seniors and folks with limited mobility and serious health concerns I have presented yoga to community center groups faculty and administration at public schools retired teacher associations and for corporate wellness events My experience is in restorative senior chair and mat level one vinyasa flow and level one posture classes.
