Dee found her way to the yoga mat when she was in her 40s and raising four children as a busy public school secondary science educator.
She found that it brought a sense of peace, balance and control over her life. Over the years, she maintained a home practice while also attending classes in local Tucson studios and participating in yoga retreats at the Ghost Ranch Retreat Center in Abiquiu, NM and at Saint David's, AZ. After retiring from teaching in 2015, she felt drawn to combine her knowledge and understanding of education with a deeper knowledge of the 8 limbs of yoga. Dee now provides yoga lessons, workshops and presentations to individuals or pairs of students out of her home studio, where she is able to individualize yoga practice drawing from many specialties. She also travels to present classes, workshops and presentations to small or large groups (school, scouts, churches, etc.) of people. She has taught students in schools, gyms, private classes and through the local community college for 5 years. Dee Fife is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
