About
Debbie Russell has been teaching yoga for 30 years.
Over the years she has taught at senior centers, native youth organizations, and in foster care settings. Currently teaching chair yoga for Elders of her Cowlitz Indian tribe in Washington state. I work in indigenous communities to improve the overall well being of the mind, body, and Spirit to help insure a better future for the next Generations.Healing a Learned Response:Healing through the age-old practices of Storytelling and Yoga in a multi-generational setting. The practice of yoga builds awareness of your body, your feelings, the world around you, the needs of others. Promotes interdependence between mind, body, and spirit. Helps you live the concept of oneness. The physical body holds trauma “quantum spirituality,” things at the molecular level in our group. Our body diseases carry the intergenerational trauma in our colon cancer, in our sinuses, in our headaches, in our backaches, in our bad knees, in our arthritis. So the solution is that we have to work on our body, to heal our body. Yoga helps release, re-balance, and restore. It also helps take us to a place where we connect to the energetic or unseen world. This is where we can make changes on a molecular level.
