About

I am registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200 RYT, completing my Basic Hatha Yoga teacher training with Integral Yoga Institute, NYC in 2010.

Since then, I have completed Therapeutic Yoga Training with Cheri Clampett & Arturo Peal (2011); Gentle/Chair Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Hamsa Spagnola, Achala Godino & Daya Eberhardt (2013); KMA Special Needs Class and Adjustments Training with Paul Keoni Chun (2016);Teaching Chair Yoga, The Sitting Mountain Series with Laskshmi Voelker (2017); Love Your Brain Training for Health Professionals with Ramsay Pierce, Kyla Pearce and Jackie Farrell (2023). I teach Hatha Yoga classes with a Gentle tempo. Classes include small sequences of movement combinations to help students discover and improve their relationship to their physical body. I also teach Restorative Yoga. Classes include blocks, bolsters and blankets to support body alignment in poses adapted for longer holds to induce muscle and fascia release to encourage an open flow of physiological systems. The atmosphere is intentionally subdued to reduce sensory input to restore the mind to more meditative/focused awareness. In 2021, I became a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in order to better understand and address the endless scope of physical, cognitive and emotional needs of people seeking well-being, and to work within the medical community. My objective is to help people address physical, emotional and cognitive challenges and maximize their health.
