About
Information Debra's approach to yoga is one that honors the need to meet the student where they are and develop tools that aid self-regulation; with the goal to equip the student with the skills necessary to maintain healthy connection with the body, mind and spirit.
Debra found her love for meditation during a class while attending the University of Redlands in 1997 and yoga in 2009 and completed her 200-hour teacher-training program. Her long time passion for a healthy body, mind, and spirit inspired her dream to become a yoga teacher. Her exposure and consequent certifications in LifeForce Yoga® to Meet Your Mood, Level I & II sparked a deep desire to focus on the therapeutic benefits of yoga to assist individuals in the management of their moods utilizing yogic principles, practices and strategies. Debra has made yoga accessible to variety of populations including: the 12-Step community, +55 and pre/post surgical patients. Debra will embark in expanding access to children within the ASD and special needs community Fall of 2016. Debra is forever in awe of the transformative power of yoga and is grateful for her teachers who have given her the opportunity to experience and share in this ancient practice: Rose Kress, Amy Weintraub, Jen DeKock, Emily Shmookler, Politea Lee and Roxanne Johnson.
