About

What an honor it is to teach yoga.

For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of guiding others on this sacred path, witnessing students awaken to their light, inner strength, and courage—to live more fully, more freely, and from the heart. Though my two children remain my greatest teachers, I’ve also been deeply blessed to study with wise and generous yoga masters from many lineages. Their teachings, combined with the lessons learned through years of holding space and learning from my students, have shaped my practice and deepened my purpose. Yoga has transformed my life—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It supported my healing after back surgery, carried me through the profound transition into motherhood, and continues to help me stay strong in body, open in heart, and steady in mind. When I fully committed to this practice, something within me woke up. I became more alive, more compassionate, more grounded, more joyful. I knew I had to share this gift. My teaching is rooted in purpose, presence, and love. I offer personalized attention within a group setting, intuitively balancing the energy of the room while honoring the uniqueness of each student. No two classes are ever the same. I often incorporate chanting as a form of breathwork—an ancient and powerful way to quiet the mind, open the heart, and return to center. Through asana, pranayama, meditation, voice, laughter, sweat, tears, and deep connection, I aim to create spaces that are soul-nourishing, transformative, and filled with heart. It is my hope that every student leaves feeling more connected to their own rhythm, their highest self, and to the beauty and possibility that lives in each breath. There is so much light to live, to share, and to uplift one another with. Each breath is a sacred gift. "Yoga is not one particular method. As soon as a person starts thinking 'I want to be a better person' that is the start of Yoga." — Baba Hari Dass With love and gratitude, Danielle Barr [email protected]
