Denise M Miller --Divine Lotus Yoga LLC is a registered Yoga Teacher RYT with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School RYS I have been practicing Bikram Yoga regularly since and Baptiste Yoga since I have always enjoyed challenging physical activities and was a competitive gymnast in my younger years Before I was introduced to Bikram Yoga I ran miles per day and did weight training In December I was in an automobile accident which resulted in a reconstruction of my right knee My surgeon advised me against running on pavement so I needed to find something that challenged me physically A friend introduced me to Bikram Yoga I fell in love with it my very first class It was one of the most challenging physical activities I had ever done but what was most amazing is how I felt after that first class and the positive changes that occurred with regular practice both physically and mentally Ive attended training seminars with Rajashree Choudhury at Kripalu and yoga retreats at Omega with Baron Baptiste Ive attended many posture clinics hosted by senior yoga instructors I was a New England Regional Yoga competitor and member of USA Yoga Federation I took Meditation Specialist Training at the Himalayan Institute I am a Registered Nurse Certified in the Operating Room for years My goal is to take all of my past experiences in combination with my passion for yoga and the teacher training I acquired at Thavma Premium Hot Yoga and to share the benefits of yoga with as many people as I possibly can I believe in leading by example with kindness compassion and respect for all who I encounter.
