Denise Shaw is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Always an active person - dancing, cheerleading, choreographing and teaching liturgical dance, and earning a 2nd-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do (Dragon Kim's, Edmond OK), she came to yoga via a neck injury. At the time, she didn't know what a blessing that detour would be. Yoga changed her life - physically,mentally, and spiritually. She began practicing consistently in 2009, and in 2012, it became clear that yoga would become her way of life. She received her 200-hour Power Yoga certification in 2013, studying with Kurt Johnson (American Power Yoga, Dallas TX) and Jayme Bushmiaer-Davis (now with Karmany Yoga, Dallas TX). Aerial yoga is her newest yoga crush because it's so fun and strengthening. She loves building connections with students and seeing them become happier, healthier, more loving, and relaxed through their practice of yoga. Her prayer is for students to experience the joyful, lasting transformation yoga brings.
