For anyone who knows Deseri Garcia, it’s no surprise that her life of adventure and passion for learning led her to yoga mats and cat-cow stretches.
Teaching Vinyasa is a natural extension of her athleticism, along with her life-long pursuit of mind, body and spirit connections. As a life coach, facilitator and speaker, Deseri has the ability to motivate and challenge students, enabling them to tap into individual potential and achieve personal goals. Having completed over 200 hours of teacher training under the amazing Marsha Pappas, Nikki Meyers and Dave Sims at Cityoga, she works with students of all levels to transform their minds and bodies into states of harmony and balance. Specializing in women’s and leadership retreats, Deseri employs a unique combination of training techniques with yoga practices, offering clients fresh perspectives and powerful sensations that serve to enlighten and invigorate. A multi-sport adventure racer and endurance athlete, Deseri has finished a number of marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2000 and 2002. She was a member of the Ball State University Women’s Lacrosse Team and Midwest National Lacrosse Team, and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
