About

Dinyar Mistry is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).

Upon successfully completing a Bachelor’s in Instrumentation Engineering, I decided to follow my passion as a Senior Yoga, Dance Instructor & Performing artist with the Shiamak Davar’s Institute for the Performing Arts (SDIPA). I taught in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Banglore, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. I was fortunate to have performed with the dance company in Malaysia, Egypt, China, London, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Dubai, Toronto, and Vancouver. My advanced yoga teacher’s training was completed at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram in India. During my journey, I experienced the power of the performing arts and therapeutic touch as a medium to provide comfort, relaxation, and manage pain. This eventually led me to study at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT). Upon completion, the school honored me with their “Heart Award “ given for ‘Unconditional positive regard for others combined with a passionate commitment to excellence in the massage therapy profession.’ I am fortunate to be one of the few practitioners in BC to have an advanced certification in Proprioceptive deep tendon reflex ( P-DTR) a program developed by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jose Palomar. I am happy to offer a “Trauma-Informed practice” which fosters an environment where the unique story of each person’s life experience is met with body-oriented compassion and awareness to safely and respectfully provide appropriate care and service. When not at work, I love spending time with my daughter and wife watching movies singing, and dancing, I love being surrounded by nature. I am always reading/studying, listening to music and exploring the healing within movement & stillness. Certifications/Workshops Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation:- 2000.
