About

Donna Addkison is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, acknowledging the completion of 500 hours of yoga teacher training with approved and active Registered Yoga Schools (RYS).

Working with a wide range of student yoga practitioners at several community-based non-profit and health and wellness focused for-profit studios in the Twin Cities area, Donna teaches Chair Yoga, Beginner and Intermediate Hatha, Gentle Flow, Beginner and Intermediate Vinyasa, Yin (all levels), Restorative, Mindful Yoga and Meditation, blended classes incorporating mindful strength building, and occasional multi-session Introductions to Yoga. She has completed a number of unique trainings including Soma Yoga Immersion at Tula Yoga on behalf of Yoga North (Duluth, MN). Donna will begin Yoga Therapy training (1000 hr) in the Fall of 2024. In addition to being an experience yoga teacher, Donna is a certified ADHD Coach who works primarily with older adolescents and adults of all ages. She holds coaching certifications through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach, Professional Association for ADHD Coaches (PAAC) as a Professional Certified ADHD Coach, and through ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA) as an ADDCA Certified Coach Graduate. In both her coaching practice and yoga instruction, she works with children and adults who have unique needs or uniquely-wired brains who may or may not require the modification of traditional hatha, yin, restorative, and vinyasa sequencing. She enjoys working with individuals, in groups and privately, who bring their physical, neurological or emotional challenges to the mat in order to live into their best lives off the mat. At present, Donna is also working on a unique curriculum designed to offer individuals living with ADHD and other neurodivergencies more specific instruction and options for incorporating the eight limbs of Yoga into their lives on and off the mat in an effort to more fully reconnect brain, breath and body.
