Elaine Larsson

Elaine is also a certified as a Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga Teacher (LVCYT) and AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Elaine's early yoga training began under the tutelage of Anita Sanducci (deceased), Olympic Athlete, Trainer, Judge and co-owner of Bushido Fitness Center in Hillsdale, NJ. Anita utilized Hatha Yoga when training the USA Karate National Team to competitions all over the world. Together with her husband Kancho, they coached numerous athletes to national and international victories. "Training with Anita taught me with proper alignment, focus, and practice comes strength" said Larsson, "She set a high standard for yoga exercise. There were no mats, no music, no incense and no nonsense. This was training at it's best." Elaine's love of health, wellness, and fitness is evident on and off the mat. She is also trained in Gyrotonic (a modified yoga form) and Spinning. An avid hiker and kayak enthusiast, you can find Elaine classes in the most beautiful places. Maintaining homes in both Northern New Jersey and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, provides a fresh yoga experience every time you join her for a stretch. "I focus on building a fundamental understanding of the pose with purpose" said Elaine. "This empowers the student to build a sustainable practice they will enjoy for a lifetime."
