Specializes in: Yoga for Cancer Survivors, Slow & Steady Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Stress Reduction and Vishoka Meditation.Ellen McNally (ERYT-500) has been teaching yoga since 2012.
She is certified as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist and Vishoka Meditation teacher by the Himalayan Institute. She completed the Center for Trauma and Embodiment's 300-hour Trauma-Sensitive Yoga certification program. She taught veterans in the Substance Abuse Day Program at the Errera Community Care Center Center (part of the West Haven CT VA), as well as at The Stonington Institute a residential treatment program for male veterans and active military in Stonington CT.Ellen currently works in the Integrative Medicine department at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven CT where she teaches yoga and guided meditation and provides Reiki to inpatients undergoing cancer treatment. She also does special sessions for oncology support groups, social workers and medical school students and staff.She has studied with many distinguished teachers, including Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Shari Friedrichsen, Sandra Anderson and Rolf Sovik at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale PA and in Khajuraho, India. She feels blessed to have found a deep and satisfying home in the Himalayan Tantric tradition which celebrates the weaving together of body, breath and mind.
