About
Emily is an E-RYT500 Yoga Instructor & Yoga Therapist for KNCTherapy LLC.
She also has a Bachelors in Science in Elementary Education and previously worked as the Assistant to the President in the RV capital of the world for over a decade. One of her future goals is to work with counselors and Psychologists to bring Yoga into the schools . She is strong willed, passion filled, and goal oriented. She has an enthusiastic drive to evolve, grow, and share knowledge. As a former athlete and coach she continues to be disciplined throughout her personal yoga practice and education. Emily was introduced to Yoga through the P90X program which began as a joking challenge in the workplace. At first it kicked her bum and then it became a personal challenge. Walking into her first studio in Indiana with a veteran lead teacher from New Mexico she soon fell in love with the concept of “Know Thyself” and continued to grow, and share with others. Adding yoga to her sports background she wanted to know all aspects of yoga and share in her classes concepts beyond the physical asanas and go deep into the soul. You will find a little yoga nidra, meditation, and breath work sprinkled throughout class. Her goal is to bring a concept of Yoga to each of you in a unique way that brings you back to class and learn something new about yourself each and every time. In her classes you will always be greeted with a big smile or hug. There may be times you will cry or laugh on your mat, yet we are all in this thing called life together; and it’s all good. She enjoys sharing with others the importance of yoga beyond physical practice and how all aspects of yoga including breath, mindfulness, and meditation can change your daily life. Remember “In the beginning, it is always dark. The mind thinks (and leads us to believe) that this is forever. But the body can feel the light, and as soon as it’s allowed, will always grow toward it. Breathe, let go; let be. Yatabuta (come as you are).
