About
I first came to yoga as a physical practice to recover from a running injury, but after attending a few classes, my practice became a more integral part of my physical and emotional wellbeing.
I completed my 200-hour training in Baptiste yoga in 2016 before falling in love with restorative and yin yoga and myofascial release. I love these slower, more introspective practices for their impacts on the nervous system, body awareness, and mental health. Through this practice, I learned to listen to — and understand — my body, and my mat remains one of the few places in an otherwise busy life where I can be completely focused on my own wellbeing and physical/mental growth. I love the constant opportunities yoga offers for asking big questions, expanding my vision, learning to lead, and getting out of my own way. I work with humans who are looking for tools to support their mental and physical health. I specialize in movement and mindfulness practices that help calm our bodies and minds and regulate our nervous systems—ideal for those dealing with sleep issues, stress, anxiety, and/or feelings of being disconnected from themselves. I also work with individuals who are seeking more mobility, body awareness, and/or movement intelligence, including athletes and those recovering from injury. As an instructor, I always come from a place of choice and empowerment. I love that we each have our own unique practice that changes each and every day, and our mats always meet us where we are. Off the mat, I’m happiest when I’m outside trail running, playing with my dog, or traveling.
