Emma Bouthillette MFA RYT- was first introduced to yoga while still in college For a decade she tried different studio and class options feeling frustrated by the physical poses on the mat but also finding a sense of calm after each session After reading % Happier by Dan Harris she saw a workshop advertised that incorporated meditation and mantra with movement She took the leap attending this class and felt welcomed at a yoga studio for the first time Within months she had become a regular in class and felt called to enroll in yoga teacher training Emma completed Fluid Yoga Schools -hour training at Samudra Studios in April Her goal was to deepen her own practice and learn more about alignment in her bigger body She soon discovered the joy of sharing yoga and meditation in community with others She teaches vinyasa classes designed to challenge students at every level of experience Through the Yoga for All certificate program Emma learned more about creating an accessible practice for all abilities which she continues to incorporate by offering a variety of options that encourage students to find their journey through asana In she was honored to be a main stage teacher for Yoga Reaches Out guiding participants through a portion of vinyasa The annual day of yoga raises funds for patients families and caregivers at Boston Childrens Hospital When not practicing or teaching yoga at Samudra she is working as a marketer writing her memoir or taking her two corgis on an adventure.
