About
I have always thought of my yoga journey as a developing sun A. I started in a forward fold releasing all the pre-conceived notions of what a yoga practice was. From here, my journey unfolded into a love affair of power that could overcome any mountain that posed as an obstacle. Becoming a yoga teacher was one of unfolding layers and building from the ground up. I look to continuous peal back the layers of both my physical and mental practice as both a student and teacher.
My journey started while attending a hot yoga class at my local athletic club in Chicago in 2006. This class was a blend of bikram and vinyasa styling. I was instantly hooked. I continued my practice trying out a variety of styles but always came back to the powerful draw of vinyasa. My professional career as a Landscape Architect requires me to be creative, imaginative, and fluid. I find this same experience in both my yoga practice as well as teaching. I love being able to share new fluid asanas with my students and just have fun with the entire experience. Everyday I look for the discovery of new layers to build upon and create while old ones become discarded to make room for growth.
