About
Fernando received his 200-hour training with the Yoga & Ayurveda Center and 300-hour training with the TCTSY-F Certification Program at The Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI.
He engages in trauma-responsive yoga practices and integrates these into his ongoing mental health and psychosocial stabilization efforts with survivors of torture. His yoga practice utilizes somatic meditation and guided affective imagery/Katathym imaginative processes as part of yoga practice. Fernando is currently an academic seeking ways to mindfully connect yoga practices into public health, clinical psychology, and consciousness studies research, teaching and service, especially for populations that are disproportionately impacted by health inequities, disease morbidity and mortality. Fernando practices in the Netherlands and the United States (California and New England).
