My journey as a mental health professional led me to yoga.
I realized that in order to effect real change, both mind and body need to connect. My practice with Mended Mind Yoga is dedicated to healing the mind, body, and spirt. As a specialized trauma informed clinician, I recognize the integral connection between mind and body. Each of my classes are created and curated through a therapeutic and trauma informed lens, focusing on supporting the release of emotional blockages that can be stored in the body. Research has shown that everything that happens to us emotionally or psychologically happens to our bodies as well. Trauma or chronic daily stressors change the way we experience and move throughout our world. My clinical background as a licensed clinical social worker and EMDR clinician shapes each class to support my students in establishing this mind-body connection, allowing room for authentic growth and progress both emotionally and physically.
