About

Frida Ibarra (she/they) is a San Diego–based yoga teacher, sound healing practitioner, and multidisciplinary artist whose work lives at the intersection of wellness, music, and community care.

After choosing life altering lifestyle changes in 2022, Frida’s yoga practice became a grounding ritual and a place to reconnect with her mind & body, regulate her nervous system, and meet herself with honesty and compassion. This healing journey shaped her teaching intention: to create spaces rooted in authenticity, accessibility, collectivism, and where students feel safe to heal and breathe into who they truly are.Having completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Southwestern College, Frida integrates her background in public education and community engagement into a trauma-informed, culturally responsive teaching style. Her classes weave together accessible vinyasa, gentle flow practices, mindful breathwork, and the sonic textures of sound healing all inspired from her years as a composer, DJ, and facilitator in LGBTQ+ and BIPOC creative spaces across California. Frida’s teaching is guided by ahimsa and satya, honoring each student’s autonomy while cultivating a sense of community. Whether supporting beginners, youth, or marginalized communities, her intention is always the same: to hold space for healing, self-awareness, and the infinite authentic potential within each person.
