About
I started yoga in 2000 after a severe back and neck injury which left me barely able to walk and unable to use my right arm.
I was on leave from my Creative Director job for over 6 months. Working with a chiropractor and a massage therapist brought my health back and I started to do yoga regularly, noticing faster recovery and less pain. Yoga helped so much that I decided to become certified in order to help others. I have been teaching yoga for almost 10 years and received both my YogaFit and AFAA Group Fitness certifications in 2006. I received my 200-RYT in 2010. I became an E-RYT 200 and completed my RYT 500 in April 2015. I teach many styles of yoga including, Hatha, Yoga and Meditation, Slow Burn, Vinyasa, Yin, Yoga on the Wall, Chair Yoga and Yoga for Backs. I teach yoga to all levels including children and people with disabilities. I am available for corporate, private and semiprivate yoga sessions. I am also available to teach workshops, including ABC’s of Yoga, Meditation, Yoga for Backs and Yoga for Athletes. Yoga gave me back my life and I am honored everyday to share the gift of yoga with others. I have a BFA from College for Creative Studies and graduated with honors. I am an award winning graphic designer and owner of Visual Velocity, LLC, specializing in trade show exhibits, packaging, logos, and brochures. I am also a fine artist/illustrator and writer and recently published my first children's book called "How Are We Blessed?".
