Drawing from a lifetime of loving movement and dance, Gayle teaches yoga as a way to find strength and delight in ourselves by using our physical nature to fully connect with our greatest Self.
Gayle’s classes are joyful discoveries of what we are truly capable of through her intuitive sequencing of postures, precise alignment instruction, and guidance to release self-limiting thoughts and beliefs. Having a BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan, Gayle has always loved the science behind movement and has been an avid self-taught student of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology for over the past thirteen years. She has published articles for Yoga International on alignment, bio-mechanics, and pranayama (the breathing we practice in yoga). She is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern Indiana, teaches yoga at the Walnut Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Evansville, and is a certified Delay the D*sease instructor working with people with Parkinson’s at Deaconess Hospital. Gayle teaches anatomy for multiple 200 hr. Yoga Alliance teacher trainings and holds regular yoga classes in Evansville at Deaconess Center for Life Balance (www.deaconess.com/lifebalance) and Yoga 101 (www.evvyoga101.com).
