Yoga poses can be practiced anywhere, anytime, even if you are wearing snowshoes! Yoga is not just the poses which many of us know, but is something which is lived off the mat as well.
I’ve studied yoga for over twenty years and completed my 200-hour certification through the Himalayan Institute here in Pittsburgh. My classes are for all levels, so don’t be afraid to come on out and try one. The style of my classes emphasizes the safe practice of asana, along with the deeper benefits of cultivating a yoga practice on and off the mat. I have also completed Yoga for Every Body certification with Dianne Bondy and Amber Karnes, Restorative Yoga certification with Cyndi Lee, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. Yoga is a great stress reducer and key to developing a calm presence which you can take with you after you leave your mat. Look for my restorative classes if you really need some calming! I love introducing people to yoga, and leading people in classes so that they can grab some of the calm which comes from yoga. Currently, you can join me for classes online via Zoom. I also do "pop-up" classes in local parks, so look for announcements and come on out and practice with me. Check out SkyeYoga on Facebook for class info.
