About
I focus on creating safe, accessible, and empowering vinyasa flow and mindful movement classes.
My intention is for my students to leave class feeling stronger and better equipped to handle the ups and downs of daily life with a little more compassion and peace than the day before. My first experience with yoga was in 2007 when in my freshman year of college I took a course that taught the physical postures alongside the philosophies of the practice. Though I signed up for the class mostly interested in the physical exercise aspect, it was learning the liberating philosophies and mindfulness behind the movement that captured me. The way yoga asks you to think and view the world made so much intuitive sense to me; practicing felt like I was simply being reminded of something I had always known. I knew one day I would be a yoga teacher, because I simply had to be: this practice is too powerful not to share. I have been lucky to be a student of some truly wonderful teachers, including Jacqui Bonwell, David Vendetti, Johnny Gillespie, Nicole Clarke, Jen Merola Palmer, Bill MacDonald, Sue Bonanno, Jaime MacDonald, Gale Giacobbe Gaffney, Lauren D'Angelo, and Amy Weintraub.
