My name is Gilvanete "Gil" Surine and I started teaching yoga even before training, for the sheer joy of trying to share the great feelings I had in my personal practice.
Then I asked for the help of some yoga schools in my area and Devanadi answered immediately, and soon I had 4 lovely souls helping me in a community project with mothers in my school district. I was touched by the ladies that came to the rescue and decided that I wanted to learn more and study yoga not just as a physical practice but also the philosophy. That was in 2016. I consider my teaching in the more traditional side, with Hatha yoga, wether it is a chair yoga or not. I like to learn about the history and lineage of the schools of yoga and the teachers that came before us and it gives me inspiration and motivation. I love offering a long savasana.
