I began practicing prenatal yoga in 2006 while pregnant with my first child and instantly fell in love with the practice and how I felt in my body.
As a distance runner, after having my second child I began to experience a number of running related injuries, and returned to yoga as a way to strengthen my core and care for my body. Not only did all of my injuries disappear, but I also began to notice how my yoga practice helped regulate my nervous sytem.In 2014 I left full-time work and completed my RYT 200 in 2014 with Kim Saunders in Alpharetta, GA. I now have my RYT 500, as well as pilates, TRX, Roll Model Method and Barre certifications.
